2020 Goals

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a fabulous day whatever you got up to. We ended up staying in, made dinner at home and I drank a couple of glasses of wine…nothing too fancy this year!

Are you a resolutions or a goals kind of person. I am more of a goal oriented person and find that making yearly goals for myself makes more sense than trying to stick to a resolution. And today, I wanted to share some of my goals for the upcoming year.

WORKOUT – I haven’t updated you all in a while regarding my current workout routine, but I am still working out each week at Solidcore. My goal this year is to up the weight that I use in class. They have certain weights that they suggest you use depending on how many classes you have taken. The last year, I had been sticking to the lower weights and I am ready to up my game and try to do the amount of weight they suggest each class. Last night was my first night to try it with the new weights and I have to say it was a lot harder!

SAVE MORE MONEY – This goal always makes the list every year and is back again this year. We are in the midst of planning out our year with regards to travel commitments and vacations we want to plan. So, you can find me saving all the money this year. We already have 2 or 3 trips planned.

UNPLUG ONCE A WEEK – I want to try to unplug more this year. I am constantly on my phone and it has started to wear on me. My goal is to be more present at family events, at home with Brian and in everyday life.

GET MORE CREATIVE – Ever since returning back from Marfa I have been on a creative high. I felt really inspired by all the other girls I traveled with to get more creative with my photos shoots. So, this year I want to push myself to be more creative and step outside of my comfort zone.

Share your goals with me in a comment below! Thanks for reading.

  1. I just started working out this morning! It’s a big one for me. I also really need to start unplugging more. Instagram used to be fun, and now it’s just a pain. It’s a shame, and I do use my phone way too much.

  2. Great goals! I think saving more money will be an important goal we both share this year – I just got engaged last month and I’m getting sticker shock from all the wedding costs!

  3. These are fantastic goals, girlfriend. And I can’t wait to watch you totally crush them! I think it’s awesome that you’re working your way up to the heavier weights in your workout class. I just got back into group exercise, and man, I feel SO behind because it’s been almost 2 years since I’ve done anything like this. I’m aiming to be as ambitious as you are with your classes! And here’s to more creativity this year. “Create” is my word of the year, so I’m all about that!

    1. That is awesome girl! Keep up the good work and it will pay off in the end! I love that word for you! I need to be more creative as well.

  4. I am a goals person. I have never understood why people wait until the first of the year to change, or start something new! Unplugging and being present is a big goal of mine as well. Happy New Year!

    1. Same here! I do monthly and yearly goals. I find making smaller goals works better and feels like you’ve achieved more.
