Tinted Moisturizer Review

In the summer, I like to change up my makeup routine. Since it is so hot here, a good tinted moisturizer is usually what I opt for over foundation. I don’t want a thick layer of makeup in the summer.

And recently, I have tried out a couple of new tinted moisturizers and I wanted to share them with you, if you are also in the market for a new one to try this summer.

To blend all of these products into my skin I either used my fingers or my favorite beauty sponge from Real Techniques. In my opinion the Real Techniques beauty sponge is a lot better than the beauty blender and half the price.

As always, all the opinions expressed here are genuinely my own. Some of these products were kindly gifted to me in PR.

Glo Skin Beauty Moisturizing Tint SPF 30+ | $44.00

This is the most expensive one of the three products I tried. I chose this particular one because it has SPF 30+ built right in and I like to kill 2 birds with one stone, so to speak. I did really like the coverage of this one, but I have to say it didn’t hold up to the Texas heat. By the end of the day, my skin was super oily and needed to be powdered. I like the way it looked in the morning though. I think it you are on the oilier side, skip this one.

Maybelliene Dream Fresh BB Cream | $8.99

This was a favorite of mine from years ago and I re-purchased it since I was out of a foundation. I remembered loving it, but when I tried it again I didn’t love it as much as before. It left my skin a little TOO dewy! I mean I do love a good illuminated look, but this product just isn’t for me in the summer. I think this product would work better for me in the fall/winter when my skin is a little drier.

Avon Magix Tint | $9.99

This little baby surprised me after I tried it for the first time. I really wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do. It gives you a natural, your skin, but better look, which I really love. In the words of Bretman Rock you will be living your ultimate ‘fresh faced fantasy’ with this product.

  1. The heat here in Texas is UNREAL during the summer months, and it doesn’t take long for my foundation to start to melt in the heat and humidity. I almost always opt for a lighter coverage foundation during the day. A BB or CC cream usually does the trick for me. I should look into trying a tinted moisturizer!

    1. I totally agree! It has been extra hot lately too! Yes — let me know if you try any of these and how you like them!

  2. Thanks for sharing these products! Sometimes I don’t like the condition my skin is in so I go for a foundation, but I hate it. I’d much rather have a tinted moisturizer with this heat and sun!

  3. I would literally LOVE to have decent enough skin to get away with a tinted moisturizer haha. But a full-coverage routine is where it’s at for me. Love your picks though!

    1. Oh yea! That is a problem sometimes. However, I didn’t have that problem with any of these products mentioned here.

  4. Ugh, I’m right there with you on the Texas heat! I didn’t like the Glo brightening face wash either, so this is good to know! I always love reviews from people who are in similar conditions to me! Thanks for the round up!

  5. I love it when things have SPF in it, so that would be my choice for sure. And just a little tint is good for me. Great reviews!! 🙂
