Life Update + Current Faves

It’s been a little while since I have done a life update. And what a perfect time to update you all on my month! First of all, May has been such a busy, but fun month. There have been so many birthday, anniversary and other celebrations this month. May has always my favorite month of the year because it is when Brian and I got engaged, married, it’s my birthday, my moms, sister and so many other friends of mine have birthdays in May. Keep reading to see what I did in May.

May started out with a bang with book club. My friend Jac, started book club in April and I was so happy to be on board. We read ‘Then She was Gone’. It was such a good read. It was a mystery and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I read it in just under 2 weeks! I can’t wait to start the next book.

Next up, Brian and I traveled to Memphis to celebrate our anniversary. I have a complete travel guide of our trip here.

My best friend from college came in town the week after we returned from Memphis. We went with her and her husband to the rangers game. It was so much fun to spend some more time with her. The last time I saw her was her wedding last September. And now she is pregnant. It was so special to be able to spend time with her!

May 25th – 27th, 2019

My birthday was this past weekend. We celebrated with brunch on Sunday. And then on Monday I got together with a bunch of my blogger friends for lunch at Sixty Vines. We had so much fun!

There are several items that I have been loving during the month of May. Keep reading to see all my favorites including clothing, tech, beauty and more.

This Shein Maxi skirt has been on repeat and I just got it at the end of the month. It is super flattering and I love wearing it with heels and flats. I would go up a size, because it tends to run small.

I haven’t bought a new face wash in quite a while, so I stumbled upon this one at Ulta and decided to give it a try. I have other products from Elemis and have loved them all. And this face wash is no exception. It leaves my skin feeling super clean and ready for moisturizer. This face wash is right up there with the Tula Purifying Cleanser.

This might come as a surprise to a lot of people, but I wasn’t really a fan of brunch for quite a while. More recently, due to blogging events really, I have been going to more and more brunches and I have really began to love them! And now all I want on the weekends is to go to brunch!

I have been watching so many series lately that I have to share with you all my current favorites. Side note: does anyone else just watch one series at a time? I can’t seem to watch more than one at a time.

  • The OA
  • Night Shift
  • The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
  • How to Get Away with Murder – finally watched the last season (sad it’s over)
  • The Office – Brian and I watch this series over and over!
  • The Order – I just started this yesterday and almost finished with the first season. It is good!

Brian kindly gifted me an Apple Watch for my birthday and I couldn’t have been more thrilled! I have been wanting one for quite some time now, so I was super excited when he surprised me with it. Do you have an Apple Watch? If so, what is your favorite thing about it?

    1. Thank you for reading! Not sure how I lived my life before my Apple Watch…LOL 🙂 Brunch is always a good idea!

  1. Wow! May was such a great month for you! I love that. All the fun trips, celebrations, brunches, and more! I hope June is just as wonderful.

  2. I am a HUGE Elemis fan. They are the best and I use superfood cleansing wash. You need to check out their cleansing balm
