My Favorite Fall Basics

 I live for basics year round. And today I wanted to share some of my favorites for Fall with you all. Most of these items I am sharing today, I purchased last year or even the year before. They are pieces that I reach for over and over because they don’t go out of style. These are also pieces that can be styled for both the office and date night. You know that I love pieces that are both functional and versatile.

We spent the weekend house/dog sitting for my parents. Both Brian and I got sick, so we are spending the week now recovering from this cold. I hope you had a better weekend than we did.

ROLL SLEEVE TUNIC

This top is perfect for both work and play. I have paired it with grey pants for the office and leggings or jeans for date night. This top is so versatile and super comfortable!

FAUX LEATHER LEGGINGS

I reach for these leggings every year. They can easily be paired with this roll sleeve tunic or see how I styled them here and here. These leggings are actually comfortable too. I have tried some pairs of leggings on like this and they are either super uncomfortable or don’t fit right. These check off all the necessary boxes for me…fit – check, comfy – check, and affordable – check!

ESSENTIAL STRIPED TEE

Another top that I get so much wear out of this time of year. I love to pair it with vests, like this one or under my favorite pullover.

MAXI CARDIGAN

A maxi cardigan is the perfect way to take your average t-shirt and jeans to the next level. Take this look, shown on Instagram. I found this look to be boring and rather drab, until I added the maxi cardigan over top. You can also style a maxi cardigan with dresses and boots like I did here.

ANKLE BOOTS

While, I am a huge fan of tall boots and over the knee boots…ankle boots seem to be more practical for me during this time of year. I have several different pairs of ankle boots that I grab for which include this pair from SAS shoes that I shared here. These are the most comfortable pair of boots I own right now. I have been wearing them non-stop too!

VESTS

I can’t not include a vest in this post. I literally live in vests during this time of year. Throw them on over your favorite sweatshirt or pair them with a plaid button down. You really can’t go wrong with a vest in your closet. I literally have about 6 or 7 vests that I rotate through each year. This one from Francesca’s which is back again this year is my favorite again this year. Hurry and grab this one before it sells out again.

I also have to mention this beautiful bracelet combination. The top one is from James Avery and I absolutely love how danity it is…perfect for layering with other bracelets.
