My Favorite Midi Dress

Happy Monday! I returned home last night from our weekend of house/dog/horse sitting. It rained pretty much the whole weekend, but we did get to spend a little bit of Friday morning on the lake before all the rain hit. I hope you all had a great weekend too! This week is going to be another short one. Thursday we are heading to St. Louis for my best friends wedding. I can’t wait to share with you all the details!

Midi dresses are and have been a staple in my closet for a while now. I just love a good midi dress. They are so easy to wear, don’t have to worry about if they are too short, and super comfortable. This striped one from Shein is only $14 and surprisingly great quality too! It is an easy piece to add to your closet for Fall! Pair it with a denim/leather jacket and booties and you’ve got the perfect Fall look. I also love the mixed stripe pattern…making it super flattering for all body types! I have actually worn this dress to the office with flats and received many compliments.

If you are following me on Instagram, then you know that I changed up my hair a little bit on Monday. I was kindly invited to Frederic Fekkai for a training class with some of their salon experts. We talked social media, had a bite to eat, and I got my hair cut/colored. It was such a fun experience! At Frederic Fekkai, they teach their stylists to cut the hair before coloring which is different than I am normally used to. My stylist, Yamen, recommended that I cut a couple inches off to keep my hair healthy. And then for color, my colorist, Jessica, suggested that I do a little root touch up (I actually have lots of greys) and then we did some balayage highlights. I included a photo here so you all could see the difference between before and after. Seriously, what a change! A good one! I am so happy with the experience, service and the way my hair looks now! If you are in the DFW area I highly recommend checking out their services and of course ask for Yamen  & Jessica!
