Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love that our family is all together for the day, we relax and enjoy each others company {or at least until we drive each other nuts ?}.
Family traditions are the best part of the Holidays, in my opinion, and there are some that we have been doing every year since I can remember. I wanted to share some of my favorites with you all today. Be sure to share your favorite traditions below.
1. BAKING CHRISTMAS COOKIES – Every year we all get together to make sugar cookies at my Dad’s house. We turn up the Christmas tunes or movie and laugh and have a good time decorating.
2. WATCHING CHRISTMAS VACATION – This tradition has been around the longest in my family. Christmas Vacation is the only Christmas movie that we all watch together each year. It is hilarious and just gets funnier each time we watch it. Sometimes, we even go to our local movie theater to do the quote along that they have each year.
3. MATCHING PJS – I started this tradition last year and it is so much fun. I love getting everyone matching pjs and either taking a fun family photo or just watching a movie.
4. GOING TO SANTA’S VILLAGE – We have been going to Santa’s Village since I can remember and now we are passing it down to our nieces and nephews. They have lots of different fun activities for the kids, Christmas lights, Christmas music and even a Santa for the kids to meet.
5. HOMEMADE DONUTS – My mom has always made homemade donuts for us around the holidays or even on Christmas morning. This has to be my favorite tradition of them all!
