Tips on Finding Bargain

6:51:00 AM

I am a huge fan of finding a bargain. Lately, I have been on a roll with finding some designer pieces for a lot less money. I thought I would share some of my tips on how to find what you are looking for. This is not an AD, just wanted to share some tips! And, if you are like me and wanting that Rebecca Minkoff clutch, but don't want to spend the money, I am here to help!

My favorite place to find a good bargain is either Poshmark or eBay. I have in mind what I am looking for and then I go on the hunt. Most of the time I don't find what I am looking for right away. But, there have been other times I have looked and immediately found what I wanted. Most recently, I have been looking for Karen Walker Number One Sunglasses. I didn't want to pay nearly $300 for a pair of glasses, so I went to Poshmark and eBay. I finally found a pair in good condition for the price I was willing to pay. I have also purchased several handbags on Poshmark as well as eBay. Several of them I have styled on this blog including my Rebecca Minkoff Leo Clutch.

TIPS ON FINDING A BARGAIN:

1. KNOW WHAT YOU WANT - It is always a good idea to know exactly what you are looking for. In the case of designer items when buying online it can be a little tricky. So make sure you are paying attention to the photos. Also, keep an eye out for fakes.

2. BE WILLING TO WAIT - Sometimes, you have to wait a while to find exactly what you are looking for. Either someone hasn't put the exact item you want up for sale, or you missed out because someone purchased it before you did.

3. LOOK AT THE SELLER'S FEEDBACK & SHIPPING TIME - I always take into account the seller and what kind of feedback they have received. If they take too long to ship or the item described arrived differently then expected, I'll pass and keep looking. There is nothing worse than buying an item and it arrives in horrible condition or not what you expected.

4. FIND A GOOD DUPE - I recently picked up this faux Gucci belt on Amazon and couldn't be happier with it. Although, buying a dupe sometimes doesn't work out, I haven't had a bad experience yet. This is a great way to save a lot of money, or to make sure you really like the item before spending a lot of money on the real thing.

  1. I also always google to see if there's a coupon available for the retailer. That always saves me some bucks.
