The Stuggle is Real + Goals Update

Happy Tuesday! I wanted to share a little update on how my workout goals for 2017 are going. I feel like I have to be a little bit more accountable with my goals because I shared them with you all. 😂

I have to be completely honest, I am really struggling to get back on my workout game. I used to be really good, work out 2-3 times a week and felt really great about myself. Now, I feel like I struggle just to do 2 work outs a week!! I have done a little better though. I made it a point to take a 20 minute walk during work. I have said this before, but my job is very flexible, so if I disappear to go on a walk for 20-30 minutes, no one really minds. I have gotten in the habit of making this part of my daily routine. It makes me feel better about sitting down for 8 hrs. I also try to go on a walks on the weekends or after work if I don't get a chance to walk during the work day. 

I have also worked in lifting some weights at home. Have you all heard of Tone It Up?! They have a YouTube Channel, so I usually complete anywhere from 1-3 videos a night. I don't do this every night, but try to do it at least 2 times a week.

I am also still doing Pilates on Saturday mornings. I have been missing a couple of Saturdays due to brunch plans! 🙈 But, I am making it a point to not schedule anything on that day for a little while. I miss my routine. My aunt goes with me, so it makes it more fun to see her. Having someone to work out with also helps me be more accountable.

It isn't like I need to lose weight, if anything I could stand to put on a couple of pounds. It is just about feeling good. I haven't been feeling good about the way my body looks or feels. My husband thinks I am crazy, but things just feel off to me. I have also cut WAYYY back on caffeine and can already tell a difference.

Another motivation, for me, is cute clothes. I recently picked up these Zella leggings from Nordstrom Rack and I have been loving them. I paired it with this cute cropped bra and I love the way this looks. I also tied my favorite Nike sweatshirt around my waist for a little extra coverage on my bum. 

I guess I am writing all of this to say that I am not perfect and it can really hard to stick to a routine when you have been slacking for a while. But, I am hear to say that keep doing what you are doing and you will eventually get back in the routine.
