6 Tips for Glowing Skin

I think I have finally find the perfect way (for me) to achieve glowing skin. The kind of glow that you say "wow she looks like she is glowing from within". Think Gigi Hadid or Jennifer Lopez kind of glow. I have been searching for the right combination for a while now and I think I might have finally stumbled upon it.

In my opinion it is all about finding what works best for you and your skin.

Note: I am in no way a professional in the makeup industry. I am just sharing what works for me and my skin. If you have any tips that you want to share with me, I would love to hear them.

1. Exfoliate - Whenever my skin is feeling dull or tired looking, it is time to exfoliate. This is my favorite way to make my skin look brighter and healthier. One of my favorite exfoliants for sensitive skin is the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Polish.

2. Prep & Prime- After I moisturize my face I like to use a primer like the Makeup Forever Skin Equalizer Primer (I use the hydrating one). This preps my skin for makeup and fills in my lines and pores. It just makes putting on makeup that much easier.

3. Shimmering Skin Base- Prepping the skin with a shimmering skin perfecter has been my favorite new way to start my makeup. I just discovered the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector and it literally makes my skin glow look more healthy and radiant.

4. Flawless Foundation or BB Cream- While I typically don't wear foundation on a daily basis, I do wear a BB Cream. Finding a good one is key to glowing skin. My favorite BB Creams that I have tried for glowing skin are the Garnier BB Cream and the Maybelliene Dream Fresh BB Cream.

I would love to know some recommendations of good foundations or BB Creams to try. This is one of the areas I haven't really branched out in.

5. Translucent Powder- Setting your makeup with a powder locks all your glow in place. Plus, it keeps you from getting too shiny. I have tried several like the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder and the Makeup Forever Super Matte Loose Powder. While those products are wonderful at setting your makeup my favorite for a lot less money is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. It sets my makeup and keeps my skin matte in the areas where I tend to get a little more shiny.

6. Highlighter- This is the final touch to make your whole look come together. Strobing was a huge trend that we saw in 2015 and I don't think this trend will slow down anytime soon. I have purchased several highlighters over the last couple of months. Some of my favorites are the Becca Highlighter in Opal, BH Cosmetics Carly Bybel Palette (this also comes with eye shadows too) and the Benefit Watt's Up (I like to apply this one with my fingers instead of applying the stick straight on my face). They are all great highlighters. But, if you aren't sure where to start I would say Becca is defiantly my favorite brand for highlighters.

Thank you for reading, xo.
