Spicy Caribbean Glazed Chicken

My husband made this recipe for us the other night and we loved it. We found it on food.com and I just had to share it with you all. It was so yummy. We served ours with some Caribbean style rice and it was the perfect combination. I highly recommend trying this recipe next time you make chicken.

  1. 1/2 cup chili sauce
  2. 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  3. 2 tablespoons lime juice
  4. 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce 
  5. 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  6. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  7. 1 (3-3 1/2 lb) chicken, cut into 8 pieces
  1. Heat grill or oven (325 F)
  2. In small saucepan, combine chili sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, hot pepper sauce, allspice, and ginger
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally 
  4. Remove from heat. 
  5. Place chicken on grill (or in oven) over low heat
  6. Cook 45 to 60 minutes or until chicken is fork tender and juices run clear, turning once and brushing frequently with glaze during last 15 minutes of cooking
  7. Bring any remaining glaze to boil; serve as a sauce with chicken.
