Beauty Favorites: Nighttime Skin Care Routinue

7:54:00 AM

Today, I am going to be sharing my nighttime skin care routine.
I have combination skin. My skin is also very sensitive, so I have to really watch what I use on it. Otherwise, it will be breakout city!

I start my nighttime skin care routine by removing my makeup. I use the Simple Miceller Cleasing Water on a cotton pad. This has been a favorite of mine for a while now. It is effective and gentle on the skin. I don't find my self trying to pull or tug at my skin when I use this product. I also love using the Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes. I do these steps before cleansing my skin.

After washing off my makeup I cleanse my skin with the Burt's Bee's Brighting Daily Facial Cleanser. I have just recently started using this product to cleanse my skin and I am really liking it so far. It is great for sensitive skin, cleanses and removes makeup very well.

I use Clinque Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel for any active breakouts on my skin. My husband and I swear by this product and have been using it for a while now. I do not tend to break out a whole lot, usually around that time of the month. This does help clear up any breakouts that I might have.

For moisturizer, I tend to go for the more high end products. I use Kiehl's Rosa Arctica Lightweight Cream as my nighttime cream. I prefer to use a thicker cream at night because skin does most of it's repairing while you sleep. This cream is worth the money in my opinion. It helps with anti-aging over time, including fine lines, wrinkles, loss of elasticity and firmness. Plus, it is scented with lavender oil that helps relax and soothe. I use Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye under my eyes. It helps combat my dark circles and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. Finally, after my moisturizers I use the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. This is a replenishing nighttime oil that helps regenerate and repair the skin for a healthier/smoother appearance by morning. I live by this product. It really does make my skin look healthier and smoother every morning.

For my lips I use the Dior Creme De Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm. I know what your thinking...is this product worth $28. Honestly, it is the best lip balm I have ever used. I use it every night and by the morning, my lips are soft and hydrated. Plus, it has a rose scent!

That is all the products I use for my nighttime skin care routine. I would love to hear what your favorite products are to use on your skin. Let me know in the comments below.

  2. Over the counter products for skin rejuvenation can be only effective if the buyer knows what to look for. If you want to buy the products from over the counter, it's always best to research the product along with its ingredients to find whether it works for your specific skin type. Remember, the most expensive products are not always the best products for certain types of skin. anti-wrinkle beauty products

  3. I totally agree Julie. I always look up products before I invest in them especially high end skincare. I'm not one to spend a lot of money on something that might not work for me. Thank for your input though. I'm by no means an expert on skincare!! Hope you are having a wonderful day!
