What I Wear to Work .07


I am back with another work wear post! I am on a roll, for right now! 😂 I styled this exact same sweater in black a couple of weeks ago. I picked it up in grey too because it is such a transitional piece in my closet. I wear it casually with a bralette, to work with a skirt and just to hang out around the house. This is one of those items that you can wear over and over again.

I paired it with my favorite skirt from the Loft. This skirt compliments my hips and is very versatile for the office or date night. It's not too short either. I have a hard time finding a good skirt for the office, and this one fits the bill. I usually wear this skirt at least once a week.

Here I wore this look with heels, but most of the time I wear a pair of flats. I wear these flats from DSW almost everyday. They are the most comfortable pair I own and I have them in several colors. You don't have to worry about breaking them in either! And for under $50 they are a definite winner.

A Little Bit of Plaid


I don't know about you, but plaid in the fall is one of my favorites! Whether it is a scarf, top or jacket, I just can't have enough plaid during this time of year. It just makes me feel so festive! This top just screams fall and would you believe it is all one shirt. I love items like this because they are easy to style and look cute for both work and play. I will be styling this top with a skirt for work very soon! The top is sweatshirt material, so it keeps you warm too!

I paired it with some jeans, booties and my favorite velvet clutch for a dressier look. I think this would be a great date night look for dinner and the movies. Which is my favorite date night!

Staying Motivated to Workout


HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED 

1. New Workout Clothes - I have said this before, but a new outfit for the gym always makes me feel better about going to workout. You don't have to go all out and buy a whole new outfit, but a couple of new pieces will get you back in the mood to get in shape.

2. Try New Classes or Gym - Not everyone enjoys the same style of workout. So, just because something works for someone, it might not work for you and that is okay! I know that I am not the type to go to a gym by myself and lift weights for hours, so I choose class settings. I have done Pilates for years now, but I am trying out a couple of different workouts right now. I am currently trying Curves for a month to see how I like it. Right now, I am LOVING it! But, I will also being testing out Orange Theory, which I have heard great things about. I am looking for the right fit and something that I will actually stick with!

3. Healthier Lifestyle - This is one of my biggest motivations right now. I sit for the majority of the day at work, so I feel really lazy after a long day. I am trying to make it a point to eat better, take a walk during the day and drink more water.

4. Self Confidence - I don't know about you, but after a workout I feel like I can take on the world. I feel better about my body and the way I look (after workout glow 😂). I am not trying to loose weight or anything, just trying to feel better about me!

5. Workout Partner - A workout partner or someone who can help motivate you to get your butt in the gym is always a good idea. I wish my husband and I were on the same work schedule otherwise, I would make him workout with me.

Pleated Grey Skirt


Happy Friday friends! We are dog sitting for my parents this weekend and I also have a fun workout event tonight. I will be sharing snaps of the evening, so be sure to follow along

I might have a new obsession...pleated skirts! There is just something so elegant and chic about a pleated skirt. It takes your average skirt up a couple of notches with the added details. This one I picked up thinking it would be more midi length, but I actually like it a bit longer. Paired with these block heels it is the perfect length! I decided to make this look a little more edgy with my leather jacket. Ideally I would wear this to an event or date night.

About sizing: This is another one of those items that is "one-size". The waist band is elastic and fits like a small/medium. I felt comfortable in it and didn't have any issues with it being too tight. I also think the quality of the skirt is pretty good for the lower price.

P.S. It seems like most of you are on board for posting 3 times a week here on the blog. So, the new schedule with take effect starting in November. I will go to posting Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Thank you so much for your feedback! I truly appreciate it.
