Styling Over the Knee Boots

Over the knee boots are my obsession once the weather starts to cool off. But, styling them can be a little tricky when you haven't worn them before. I get questions all the time about how practical they are or can you really wear them with a lot of looks. And I am here to tell you they are such a staple in my closet. I have two pairs -- Both from DSW and are under $100. I love this pair shown here to wear with skirts and jeans alike. They immediately elevate your look.

I decided to show you all how you can easily style these boots with a cute skirt and sweater for work or play. I would totally wear this to work and even head to happy hour afterwards.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and have a happy Thursday! I am looking forward to no plans after work today! Might even get to go to sleep before 9pm tonight. 👵😂

Put a Twist on It

We are half way through the week! I am in need of the weekend STAT. I feel like I haven't quite caught back up since my sister was in town. Plus, this week has been jam packed so far! I went to a Christmas party with a bunch of my blogger babes last night and tonight I have another workout session at [Solidcore]. All these activities are catching up to me quickly. 💤

I shared this affordable sweater last year, but styled it a little differently. Since it is still in stock and comes in a bunch of colors I thought I would share it again, but styled completely different. This sweater is so fun because you can wear it both with the twist in the front or in the back. Personally, I prefer it in the back. I mean how cute is this? And it is only $20!

Turtleneck + My Fave Brand of Jeans

It's no secret that I am a huge fan of denim. And lately I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair. You have seen me rock Paige, STS Denim and many more. But, recently I have been loving the high-rise or mid-rise skinny jean. I feel like it is more flattering on my body type and just overall makes me feel good when wearing jeans. Gone are the days where I want to wear anything that is low rise. I just don't want to be constantly yanking my jeans up all day.

I found these ripped skinny jeans {you've seen me style them several times now} during the Nordstrom Sale. I loved them so much that I purchased them again {exact same pair} just needed another pair because I wear them all the time. Then, more recently I spotted these grey/black pair that were the exact same minus the rips and I knew I needed them. They just fit so well! Have I mentioned the best part?! They are under $100. By far, these are my favorite brand of jeans. They blow my $200 jeans right out the window.

I paired these jeans with my new favorite sweater, which I wore almost 3 times this past weekend. I also picked it up in another color. It is just the perfect sweater to throw on and look pulled together. It is also under $50. I am wearing a small here.

Christmas Traditions

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love that our family is all together for the day, we relax and enjoy each others company {or at least until we drive each other nuts 😂}.

Family traditions are the best part of the Holidays, in my opinion, and there are some that we have been doing every year since I can remember. I wanted to share some of my favorites with you all today. Be sure to share your favorite traditions below.

1. BAKING CHRISTMAS COOKIES - Every year we all get together to make sugar cookies at my Dad's house. We turn up the Christmas tunes or movie and laugh and have a good time decorating.

2. WATCHING CHRISTMAS VACATION - This tradition has been around the longest in my family. Christmas Vacation is the only Christmas movie that we all watch together each year. It is hilarious and just gets funnier each time we watch it. Sometimes, we even go to our local movie theater to do the quote along that they have each year.

3. MATCHING PJS - I started this tradition last year and it is so much fun. I love getting everyone matching pjs and either taking a fun family photo or just watching a movie.

4. GOING TO SANTA'S VILLAGE - We have been going to Santa's Village since I can remember and now we are passing it down to our nieces and nephews. They have lots of different fun activities for the kids, Christmas lights, Christmas music and even a Santa for the kids to meet.

5. HOMEMADE DONUTS - My mom has always made homemade donuts for us around the holidays or even on Christmas morning. This has to be my favorite tradition of them all!

2017 Gift Guide Under $50

Happy Fri-yay babes! Today, is all about gifts for him and her that are under $50. All of these gifts would be great ideas for friends, brothers, sisters and even parents. In my family, we usually just buy for the kids or sometimes we even draw names with a set limit.

Some of my favorites from above is this turtleneck sweater, which I just recently picked up and I love. It is so soft and perfect for the fashionista on your list. One of the items on my list this year is this sunglasses case from Barrington Gifts. I have been obsessed with leopard print lately and I think this would make a great gift for the girl who has everything. Plus, who doesn't love a little monogramming?! The Amazon Fire TV Stick and Echo Dot are great gifts for the techie and are under $50!

Next week will be my final gift guide rounding up all gifts under $100. Don't forget to check out the other gift guides for HER, HIM, and STOCKING STUFFERS. Also, you can shop all these gifts items in the 'Christmas Shop' tab above.
